All lacrosse eyes will be on the MLL Finals this Saturday, August 8th.  This past weekend’s games saw the New York Lizards edge out the Boston Cannons in a thrilling 16-15 OT win and the Rochester Rattlers surge past the Ohio Machine with a 12-8 victory.  With the two teams set, all attention turns to Saturday’s matchup where one team will emerge as the best in Major League Lacrosse.  Undoubtedly, both teams will have great performances from every one of their players.  However, here are five potential game changers and people to watch for during the finals:

1. Drew Adams – Recently crowned the Maverik 2015 Goalie of the Year, Adams has been a key cog in the machine for the Lizards this year.  A starter in all 14 games, Adams has set career bests in saves and save percentage this year. Answers to your questions will be found here.  Adams came up huge in OT last weekend, saving a shot from 3 yards out.  Expect the Lizards netminder to come up big this weekend as well.

2. Kevin Rice – The Rattlers rookie has been tearing it up ever since he came into the league.  The ex-Syracuse attackman scored 3 goals and assisted once in the semi final game against the Machine and was named Coca-Cola Player of the Match.  This rook could be a key part to the Rochester offense come Saturday.

3. Greg Gurenlian – The “Beast” has been having an unreal season at the “X” and the New York Lizards owe a large part of their success to his 73.1% faceoff win percentage this season.  Gurenlian has also notched a game-winning OT goal this season so, if the MLL finals should go into OT, look for Greg to go beast mode.

4. Jordan Wolf – The Rochester offense is centered around this guy.  Wolf is a 2015 league MVP candidate because he is largely considered to be “unstoppable”.  His 4 goals and 1 assist in the game against Ohio may have just been a warm up.  The Big Bad Wolf could help the Rattlers hoist the trophy this Saturday.

5. Paul Rabil – Oh yeah, this guy.  The two time MLL MVP needs no introduction as he looks to help the Lizards collect the trophy this season and put the ideal punctuation on his first season in New York.
